Mad for PLAID

Baby, its cold outside! I like to dress comfy casual and with the random weather of rain, sleet, and snow- comfort is the key for me, but I always add a bit of a spice accessory to complete my outfit and today I felt a little whiff of punk with highland tartan approach of plaid. Just because its cold you don't have to dress the part of looking bad. "Style is always fashionable and fashion is always in style"...in all seasons. Hope your enjoying your day and stay warm wherever you are.

OMG! Has Texting Changed the Way We Communicate?

These days the cell phone dominants our life to the utmost fullest without our acknowledgement it does. Every where we go, whether lunch with co workers/friends, family outings, dates, or just a simple outing with the girls/guys everyone is preoccupied with their cellular device. Checking their profile statuses (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), but most importantly text messaging. Thus, forgetting the importance of having an actual intellectual conversation face-to-face among peers, which this day in age seems pretty ancient as a rotary phone.

It has been reported, the very first text message was sent 20 years ago, December 3, 1992, forever changing the way we communicate. Yes, its convenient to be able to interface with people in a flash/ lickety split manner, but numerous communication is made by texting, whether the person lives conveniently close or long distance from you. Throughout the time of texting, people no longer feel the need to effortlessly communicate.

Texting is seen as traditional means of communication now a days, but still continuing to grow. I've been recognizing that for some of us, texting has become a habitual form of conversation. Along with, we know that certain habits are hard to break, but I also believe their are additional reasons why one might begin a rare or troublesome conversation via text. Favorably for you, I've been observing from every text/email I have received to despite the mediocre drawbacks to via texting:

1)To inflate less tension. Texting requires fewer sentences than talking, it increases the frequency of small talk and can be great asset to people beginning to date or form any type of relationship. When people communicate primarily via text, they're less likely to have worthwhile conversation.

2) To have some domination over the conversation, stage setting a barrier with irritating or "full of air" people, now and again this can emerge misdirection of tones via text especially if one party is set in one's way to not talk on the phone.

3) To avoid and protect oneself from having to revile sensitive emotions of hearing another person's distress; no one can hear trembling/anger/tension in your voice.

Furthermore, A tap on the virtual keys is all it takes which texting eliminates the use of any physical contact with a person. It does not characterize a chance to put a person verbal/speaking skills to the test, for which I happen to have the deepest affection for intellectual conversations. But in the end, the ability to just sit and talk, talk for hours on end about the important things in life is icing on the cake and happens to be admirable...now that's exciting!

Ultimately, despite manifestation of it all, I'm not anti-texting, LOL. Like all technology, texting, has its place mainly with simple quick hellos, simple chit-chats, and making plans, but as I stated earlier its always preferable to interact communicating face-to-face:).
